A promising left-arm fast bowler from Canberra, Will Sheridan has had just as much impact with the bat in his first forays into state cricket. His first-class debut for Victoria in 2009-10 brought a half-century but no wickets, and he had made 105 for the ACT Comets in a Cricket Australia Cup match the previous season. The effort came against the Victoria Second XI, and within a month Sheridan had moved to Melbourne in the hope of impressing the Bushrangers further. He won a rookie contract with Victoria for 2009-10 and retained the deal the following year. Sheridan also represented Australia at the 2006 Under-19 World Cup.
